Visitor can see and partial registerd member cannot - weird

My website has a splash page which is where the registration takes place.

So here we have this visitor that casually drops in and via the footer links enters and views the site, is able to see everything set to public (especially our biz and website listings) which is the way we want it.

Now here is another person that drops in and registers, while he is there he cannot view any of the same biz and website listings, yet he is registered but has NOT confirmed their membership (via email confirmation link - that is how I have it set up), so until they are confirmed they cannot view anything. Once admin confirms membership he can view. Kinda silly.

Any ideas suggestions?

oh wait, your using a splash page.

I think you need to tighten your page access control settings perhaps.

You can find the page access controls in your Administration pages under Modules>Page Access Control, there you can adjust which membership levels can see what pages. Just change what non-members can view. If this doesn't fix it, you should contact the developer of the splash page & see if they can't fix the problem so that people can't leave the splash page without registering.

I may not have explained myself well. We are not concerned about the Menu items showing, it is the Listings by the members that are not showing.

Visitors can see and partial members cannot. Just crazy.

The only way to control what different level memberships can and can't see is through page access controls & membership settings (and non-member visitors and registered members are seen by the system as different membership levels). Anything else is most likely something that the splash page designer will have to fix, no matter what the problem is.

Also, be sure you check out the page block aspect of the page access controls, it doesn't just control the menu items. For entire module access - you'll want to look at your Admin>Settings>Membership Settings.
