Video uploads are extremely slow. 1gbps server.

My server has a 1 gbps connection speed but when I upload in dolphin it takes a long time. Is there something in cpanel that I should change to make this faster? I am using a LAMP setup.

it depends on your upload speed at home  not the speed of the server...

I'm renting this room out of somebody's house. I just used speedtest. My download speed is 7.68 Mbps, upload is 1.39 Mbps. WTF??? Time to move out.

Many ISPs limit the upload speeds on purpose to just a fraction of the download speed.  My current account only has a 1 Mbps upload speed.  I would not base my decision to move on the upload link because you may find the same speed elsewhere.

My current. 27 down, 6 up.

But yours appears to be a standard 768K DSL connection. Thats what i had before i switched to cable. Most home up links are between 1-6. Anything higher that that is rare as it's ether business class, or expensive.

It depends on what you can afford to pay, I can not afford to pay even for the 1 meg uplink.

my Fiber Broadband is cheap as chips really ... best move I ever made seems I work online 24/7

Uploading and Downloading use to take me FOREVER ... Downloads that would usually take 8 - 9+ hours are completed with 1 hour or less ...

Mine is right around 83.00mbs download and 38.09mbs upload ...  should be around 45 on the up side.

We can get up to 300mbs in my area to the home...

Google will be coming out with a 1gbs connection to homes in the next couple of years for around 49 a month....

Then you will see the cable companies drop there prices right away to what it should be now..

Depends on the area your in also.

Where i am now, 50mb cable is the best available. I am in a area where there are still surrounding towns that do not have cell service or cable TV. I think you only find those ultra high speeds in major city areas.

you can have the best of the best but if the cable providers in some countries don't upgrade there up and download speed i will not help you one bit.

I tested it a while back. Here in holland we have a good to really good up/download speed. but with the same laptop i went to Indonesia and it sucked...

In the USA there is no real incentive for the cable companies to improve the infrastructure.  Profits are the only thing that matters and crapping on the customers.  My cable company kept raising their rates claiming they had to in order to cover costs.  Then I read a report where their profits were up 20% for the quarter; the lying bastards.  The government let them lie about speeds; there are no 4G networks in the US; the companies paid off the ITU to let them label their networks as 4G if they make an "improvement".  The cable companies have oversold their bandwidth and are getting by with it.  If I oversell my timeshare resort I can be taken to court and thrown into prison; yet the cable companies can oversell their bandwidth with impunity and then throttle the speeds.  What it comes down to is the US government is as corrupt as any Banana Republic ever hoped to be; corporations openly bribe congress to pass laws in their favour (campaign contributions to help them stay in power and continue to do their bidding).

Last week I tried to swap to Brighthouse "Lightning 90".. after two techs came out and couldn't get the d/l over 30mbps I swapped back to Uverse. This is the second and LAST time I try to swap to Brighthouse. Oh and ATT cut my bill in half for swapping back to them :-)
