Video comment files not being deleted from server

For now, I'd like Boonex to address a temporary fix for deleting video comment files from server until it is updated in 7.1.5 -- I can't have orphaned files that takes up space until then. I would not be able to know which has been orphaned and what not. 

I suspect it has to do with a few code edits to make this happen. (BTW, chmodding 777 doesn't help)

Is it possible to use this info from old ticket that fixed the video comment deleting? I'm not too sure how this bug made its way back into 7.1
