Video categories

How do I delete categories so my members cant post up videos using categories that I don't want? When I goto the categories page on my site or in my dashboard the categories don't show up but when I post a new video they show up and I don't want my members to post in none of these categories.

You can add/remove categories from Administration => Settings => Categories Settings.

You may also want to install this free module from Modzzz; it requires code edits; http://www.boonex.com/m/Extended_Categories

That mod will prevent members from being able to add their own categories.

I have my site where members cant create categories but the problem Im having is in the admin area it shows the categories that I want but when you upload a picture or video it seems that there are more categories listed. I cant delete them in the admin area because the don't exist in the admin area but in the members areas each time someone goes to upload there they are. I don't know if there is a way for me to go into the cpanel and delete them but I would like them gone. If anyone could help me or give suggestions for this problem I would really be grateful.

You may have to do clean up through the database; using phpMyAdmin or similar database tool.  Of course back up the database first.
