Video Chat Button Gone

Has anyone else ever had this issue? The video chat button eventually dissappears from the actions box on everyone's profile. I have become really good at doing a perfect restore of my dolphin site as I have done it approximately 6 times in the past month. Everything works if you go to chat and click on cast video and then allow….I can see my video live and whoever else…so I know my RMS is working fine. I am on dedicated hosting via my own server but for some reason, I cannot understand why even a fresh install that my button isn't there again.

Anyone have a solution or something I can try besides reinstalling again?

1. Your membership level doesn't allow you use PM.

2. Your PM module has been changed by someone.

I am the administrator of the site...I am the hosting company, developer, administrator. I have full access to everything. I really doubt it is a permissions issue...and the chat module has been reinstalled as well as all modules language recompiled.

Any other ideas?

Make a ticket on support page please. They will make detailed analyze of your trouble

I am posting a screen shot since you cannot see what I am referring to from my site. I have it locked down for registered members only. Here is a screenshot of the action box minus the video chat button...as well as a screenshot of the chat window where video chat is working. I have posted 3 pics for chat...one showing the option to click on cast video...one showing the allow or deny button...and one showing me live with the cast video button pressed.

yeah i went to check this out, and ironically, on my profile under actions, i have only four items.

as a work around, you can do this -->

admin panel menu builder navigate over to the chat object, click on it and tick the box for quick link. this adds to the member page for the member, but not to the actions block.

i know this is not the answer you were looking for, but its a method that can be used until something is figured out.

Thanks for the reply. The actions box used to show the button Video Chat on each and every members profile...now the button is gone. There is a chat button already on all of the members top nav bar. I have added that and customized it as I need it with icons and all. I just want the action box to display the Video Chat button and not to keep dropping it for some reason. It's weird.

You showed us the global video chat! But he isn't contain invite button! You need install the IM - Instant messenger from admin - modules. It allows people to communicate one on one............

Instant messaging is installed already. All modules are installed except for the following:

Pretty strange but Video chat button started appearing on profiles of people who show an online status. Not sure why or how it started working but it did.

Also my videos are now saying processing…but they are still hung up in the pending section. And the journey continues...

I think I have the same problem: there is no 'my video' appearing in the video chat. (7.0.5)

Video chat button appears in the action box and, when clicked, opens the chat dialogue box but there is no facility to use the video function. I've tried the advanced settings but it makes no difference.

Can anyone help please?

The button will only show up on people's profiles who are online, you won't see the button for people that are offline.
