I am trying to get video chat working. Both myself and a friend can click on video chat and we get into the messenger window. The problem is...I don't get a cast video as the help section states I would. I can click on settings-->advanced and then click on the camera icon...and double click on the camera itself and my video turns on and I can see myself fine.
I don't see my own avatar like the help section suggests either.
Any ideas?

Do you have RMS installed on your server and enabled in the Flash Apps Section? Video Chat, as well as some of the other Flash Apps will not work without it. |
I have installed it now. Thanks. It's working. Jeremy |
Where is my video chat?
How can I enable the video chat on my site?

Make installation in admin - modules before!
PS: If possible do not write me personally, please try to ask on the forum first |
Thanks Sasha but i don't see that option in admin-->modules.
Where should I get it from?
Thanks for the help.

Admin>modules>flash apps>then you will see it. You possess an intuitive intelligence so powerful it can help you heal, and relieve stress. |
When I go to modules--->flash apps I get "invalid parameters".
Does it has something to do with it?

So now that I have the Flash Apps and A/ V chat enabled, what do I do next? I still don't see the video chat. Sometimes communicating your problem and putting it out there is enough to solve it |

Is your media server running and properly configured?

I have no idea. How do check that?

If you don't know, then it's safe to assume you don't have it installed, either. If you're on a VPS or dedicated server, you can install it yourself using this tutorial: http://www.boonex.com/trac/dolphin/wiki/RayMediaServerInstallation. If you're on a shared server with a host who's also on the list of recommended hosting providers, they may provide media server service for you, and you can try asking them.

I'm on a shared server at the moment untill I get everything on my site set up and then I'll move to a dedicated one.
And that means I need to get the hosting company to set it up as you mentioned.
Thank you so much for the information. I'll do it right now.
Best, Yuval
