I don't have hundreds of dollars to spend on adding a videoplayer that works on my site. I would like to add Flowplayer because the embed video script that Dolphin provides sucks and does not allow me to embed videos ON MOST sites. The only site it worked on is MySpace and WebJam. On those two sites I was able to copy the embed code and paste into a comment (WebJam) and message (MySpace). Everywhere else I tried, Ning, SocialParody, Dailymotion, the embed code DOES NOT WORK. In fact the embed code does not even work in Dolphin comments. I was able to easily post a YouTube video in the comments and it worked. It appeared as a video with the player button right in the comment. I was also able to embed a video from Ning in the wall comments and IT WORKED. But noooooo NOT Dolphin. On other sites it just hangs and in the processing mode.
I don't have hundreds of dollars to spend on a free script just add or replace the videoplayer. I like Flowplayer which is free but it will cost $150 to add a FREE player to a FREE script, WT?? Can someone please offer or provide me information on how I can either add/replace the player or modify the embed code so that my embedded Dolphin videos will work? I already spent $40 on Advanced Video embed but what good is that if the embed code generated still does not work on MOST sites? Not even sure what I ACTUALLY bought cuz I thought this mod would solve my problem.
I would appreciate ONLY people who actually have an answer to solve this problem and NOT sarcasm. I am NOT a Dolphin expert or programmer so if I don't phrase something right then please overlook that and get to the matter at hand. The fact that I am not a programmer or Dolphin expert does NOT make me stupid, I am far from that and feel insulted every time someone responds to my question with sarcasm. I am tired of people responding sarcastically and/or answering my question with a statement to explain more. I don't know how to explain this any better or with anymore detail.
What's happening to my videos now is that since the upgrade the videos look fantastic, play immediately when you click on them (instead of the long pause) and I am impressed with that. However when I copy and paste the embed code that Dolphin generates once a video is processed DOES NOT WORK on many of the sites I tried it on. They simply hang and never process when I embed the code on other sites. There is no error message to speak of. I am very kindly thanking ANYONE in advance to share with me points or things I can do myself. I am poor and DON'T have $150 just to add another video player or to "fix" embed code issue. I really wish to hear from somebody with compassion and understands that NOT EVERYBODY has a web development budget to "hire" programmers to correct the things that don't work on Dolphin. I, like most site creators did envision charging subscriptions for my site but how can hold my head up high and even ask my members to subscribe to a site that is videocentric and basically had nothing but problems from day one with videos working. I would have had a lot of angry subscribers by now. It has been nearly a year and my site only just this month graduated from low quality looking videos that take 4ever to start to the breathtaking quality I see now. All I need now is for them to be able to be posted on other sites without problems.
