Urgent! Did I delete the site?

We were trying to install a sfresh copy of Dolphin on to a subdomain and it appears that somehow, the new installation was overwritten on the old one.

Did we just delete the old site by accident? I dont see any of the mods in the CPanel files anymore. If so, can we get it back if there was no back up done yet?

Or, since we are switching to a new host, can that be the reason it is gone?

And is Chris going to kill us? lol

Your hosting provider may have a backup if you're on a shared server. If you have any backups, you should be able to apply them. If all else fails, I recommend you head south of the border, or face the wrath of a homicidal business partner.

If you uploaded over the old site and no backup was done, then your screwed. There is no way to recover from that. None that i am aware of.

You can submit a ticket to their support department and see what they have to say. I don't know what their policy is regarding backups.

if you were running on godaddy and moving to arvixe, then look on the godaddy server to see if the files still exist/

He had the domain name through GoDaddy and the server through Arvixe. All I see on GoDaddy is the domain name

One last question...

is it possible to copy the entire site as it is to the subdomain so we can continue working with what we have?
