Upgrading Dolphin 7.1.2 fails

When I tried to apply the upgrade from 7.1.2 to 7.1.3 I got the update could not be applied message.  So I go to the database and do a version check and I see that the site is listed at 7.1.2.beta.  What can I do at this point?  I don see 7.1.2 beta upgrades in the Upgrade instructions.  What can I do at this point?

So there is no upgrade from 7.1.2 beta as listed on the instructions for this release.  Probably got installed by error.  Going to be a pain in the buttocks to start over from a fresh install.  Anyone been up against this one before?

Just edit the database  instead of 7.1.2.beta use 7.1.2 and upgrade patch will work.

I checked the release date of 7.1.2 beta and the 7.1.2 release date and they are close together so if the 7.1.2 beta was then release as 7.1.2 with no changes; then yes, I can just change the version in the database.  I would like to know if it is safe to proceed with making that change and installing the upgrades.

I told someone the same thing a while back. The only way to do the upgrade is to change the version number to a proper version.

Now is it safe? Unknown. Betas are not suppose to be used on production sites. It will be fine as long as there are no differences in the database. The database would be the only thing that would cause a problem.

I am thinking that there were probably no database changes.  Dolphin 7.1.2.beta was released on 2nd of May 2013 and Dolphin 7.1.2 was released on 9th of May 2013.  There is no list of bug fixes on the beta page so I can not compare that between the two.

I have moved ahead with the upgrade on a test site and the site is undergoing testing to see if there are any issues.  Thanks for the help on this.  I think the close release dates from beta to final helped.
