Unable to see 'Public' on homepage

I added 'Public Files', 'Public Events', and 'Public Photos' to my homepage underneath 'Featured Members' but I am only able to see 'Featured Members'. Anybody know why that is?

Some boxes do not show unless there is content.

As Newton pointed out, most php blocks will not show the block if there is no content for that block.  So first step is to be sure there are content of each type that is marked for public viewing.  Keep in mind that content viewing is controlled by the privacy setting of the album that is holding the content.  Once you are sure there is public content, then we can go from there.
