Unable to create profiles on Dolphin 7.0.2

I have taken my site and cloned the database, and adjusted all the settings and license to move to a new domain name. Everything works for the profiles that  were moved over. But when I try and create a new profile, the site will just not post. I can click on the Join Now button, and nothing happens.  It is very strange, and need some tips as to what could be happening

if you are staying on the same host, there is no need to clone anything if you are on cpanel. if you are on shared hosting, you will need to ask your hosting provider to change your domain name on whm. then you will need to edit the header.inc.php file and all should be well. remembering of course to clear the cache.

are you able to call the join.php file directly?

also, if you duped all the files, make sure you have cleared the cache and tmp directories.

There is not a single error. But I can log in as any profile, but then I go to submit anything in regards to the profile, I can click on the button all day long.

When I do the JOIN.PHP, it comes up fine, but when I submit, nothing happens. No errors on fields and I have checked on 2 computers and both IE8 and Firefox  3.6.12

AS far as the server,  it is the same host, same server.

try it out for yourself.. the 2 domains affected I can send to you via email if you like

I have even checked by making the template the UNI and clearing the cache

I am stumped

If you moved the files to a different directory, this most likely affected all the file permissions that were set when dolphin was first installed. If so, all of the permissions will have to be re-done.

Go into admin->tools->Host Tools. Make sure all the permissions are green.

Also make sure the cache, cache_public and tmp folders are cleared of all files except for the .htaccess file. Do it manually, not from admin.

Well well well Deano, you get the PRIZE!

Using Cpanel, making a full backup of the site and backup of the database, and moving to a different domain, restoring the files, and changing the config ont eh site worked like a dream. Why the permissions on the site do not transfer from a backup is beyond me, but 2/3 of the files and directories were UNWRITABLE.

Well the saying goes.... "Even monkeys and retards get it right with repitition..... eventually".. some day I guess I will "get it".... LOL
