Two separate members blocks on the homepage

Hi, I am looking to get two different members blocks on the homepage, with different search criteria for each. I am setting up a custom user field with two selectable options.

On my homepage I'd like one box that display 'x' number of random profiles who have selected option A in my custom field, and another block that does the same for 'y' number of people who have chosen Option B from the field.

Is this possible?

Not from scratch, but I have picked up bits so should be able to work something out :)
