Transferring Site from WAMP

Hello All

I have an issue with transferring  the website from our local WAMP Server to a online SERVER .  any help would be appreciated.

Thing is we are working on a wamp server on windows 7 .  We have created and the stie is successfully running on wamp.  Now when we want to shift that to a online server with apache and sql installed  we exported the sql file using phpmyadmin  export feature and simply copy pasted in the new online server using phpmyadmin SQL feature.

now when we tried to display the site or go to the admin it says database error and it is showing in the error email the tables with capital letters.

Can you please explain in detail...it would be much appreciated.

Also let me know if the file is too large  say about 40 mb or so how do we do it since even if we try to import it it says file too large connection time of 1 min is over.

Hey i figured it out........Wink

It was to do with the matter that Windows doesnt differentiate between capital and small letters but linux does that was the problem..  Since the table  'profiles'  is actually with capital 'P' in  Dolphin database whereas when we work with Wamp  it installs with small " p"  that was the problem.  As when i dumped the database on the remote web server it was nto recognising the profiles table since it was searching for  profiles with capital P.

I later on changed the small "p"  of the tablename  Profiles to  Capital "P"  in the database dump  and dumped it on the remote web server. which worked perfectly after that.

I hope this even might have given you a little info.

Anyway Thanks for your constant replies.
