Anyone have any mod or know some code to add torrent sharing function to my site?

I guess that sort of works. sort of.

but then I wouldn't be able to get indexed in the major torrent search engines. This would bring HUGE amounts of traffic to my site for free!

That is true but you also should know that the MPAA and the RIAA have been hitting torrent sites very heavily.

Not all torrent sites share music and video.

I used to have a torrent server before i lost my first dedicated when i was having financial problems. My server was to provide dolphin torrents for all versions of dolphin, past and present. But primarily for my VMWare VM's of Linux distros with dolphin pre-installed. I had to shut it down when i lost my ded.  But i have a new ded now, so i may be starting that project back up again at some point.

But yea, my guess is he is looking to setup a torrent directory to share everything. Which would be a bad idea.

I guess one could moderate the site.  Also, I would suggest if in the USA of registering with the copyright office and putting a DMCA notice and state a takedown officer just in case a torrent sneaked pass you.  My opinion is that the DMCA is a poorly written piece of crap law designed to protect the corporations and removing fair rights use from the public.
