TOP BANNER PROBLEM

Hello,

When I include a TOP BANNER utilizing the Dolphin 7 Default Banner System, it displays below my breadcrumb bar and directly on the TOP MENU LINKS. The Top MENU links & ICONS do not move down to allow the banner and the banner gets superimposed over the TOP MENU LINKS & ICONS. Please see attached pictures.

Does anyone know how I can fix this? I have a custom template and the designer is no longer available.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

if that area is where you are wanting the ads to show up, a few things would possibly need to take place. you need to adjust the padding between the promo banner, and the menu, or the promo banner and the head section, so you can place your g-ads in that position. you also need to adjust your vspace when setting the ads. but you need to make space on the section you are trying to place that ads in.

Angel if your using firefox browser, go download the firebug add-on for it. You can right click on your site and see what css files you need to adjust and other files as well.

Can anyone help me with the exact coding I need to fix this problem.

I believe the problem may be with my sub_header file as I am running a custom template.

I just need to move the top menu links and icons down to make space for the top banner.

Anyone?

From what I can see the /inc/banners.inc.php is what governs the banners. But since in the default template, UNI, the banner does fall above the top menu, it's likely something in your template's css that is causing this and messing w/ the php coding isn't going to fix that. I'm not sure anyone can tell you the exact files and codes you need unless they also have that same template.

Firebug is definitely going to be your friend here! The good news is: it's free. The bad news is: you'll have to poke around to find what you're looking for, make sure you click all of the drop-down arrows to see the inner coding.

You have to edit general.css in your template css folder.
