Store product mod

I am sure this most of come up somewhere, but i will ask the question and maybe someone here can answer. This is regarding the amount of times a product can be purchased. My store works, i have tested it with the help of some developers here either by instructions or physical testing with other party. The issue and question is, would there be a way to change the amount of downloading allowed? many developers here obviously create some bad a** mods and on several occasions have re-written some to actually fix or its functionality. This is just some food for thoughts, anyone help?

Do you want to configure this at an Admin level or on a per product basis ?

Modzzz, lets say that is your product that i am looking at right now on your test site. I logged in to check it out. So here goes, i like your product, i click on add to cart, then checkout, then i am redirected to PayPal screen, i complete all necessary fields, complete the purchase, you receive your money, i get redirected back to product, download button is now visible, i download your digital product, after that download, how many other downloads will it allow me to do? That's the part i am interested in.  

He stated he can add that functionality. Meaning the current product does not have that restriction.
