Still Looking For A Way For Animated GIFs To Work

I know this topic was discussed so many times before. And I know GIFs are annoying, heavy, abc, xyz...

But it's 2013. It's the age of 9Gag, Tumblr, 4chan. Boonex Dolphin should allow animated GIFs to be themselves, to be actually ANIMATED.

I'm sorry everyone, but I'm quite disappointed with the way Boonex works. Fortunately, the community is wonderful and very helpful.

So I hope someone could find a way to let those poor animated GIFS animate.

Thanks.

***EDIT***

So I found a ticket about this issue:

http://www.boonex.com/trac/dolphin/ticket/2688

The milestone is set to be Dolphin 7.1.1.

I'm not sure when the version will be released but it seems there is a solution after all.

It seems AlexT is the only Boonex developer who actually works.

Makes me wonder where is the $400 really going?

I agree totally with you on Gif's, users do love them, no matter how the dev's feel about them.

Yes, and happy users is what keep our sites running.

One thing is the current avatar converts to jpeg.  Now to resize animated gifs, you need to use imageMagick; it can resize animated gifs and keep the animation intact.

I was torn between Boonex Dolphin and PHP Fox but chose Dolphin in the end because there are some cool modules such as modzzz's points + credits + gifts. My niche requires that feature. PHP Fox also has a point system but it sucks.

I'm sorry to the Boonex team if I'm being rude but now I'm kind of regretting my decision because Dolphin also lacks a lot of features that PHP Fox has such as GIFs, quizzes or an advanced profile customize.

Yea, I do see AlexT pretty frequently, and appreciate him for being consistent.  But i do wonder exactly how many ppl are working on this.  With all the money they have made, I know it has to be more than just AlexT, or is it?

So by their definition, you and the other guys here would be "boonex agents"?

Im just asking because that is where PRIMARY support lies, is with you great guys and gals on these forums!

Funny thing, I actually seen that vid before, and that is what really sold me on dolphin.

Regarding the 1st video..........must be nice :)

No...

The way I see it, you pay Prime, you get free install and some support, not sure on how much but I would think you would be able to create tickets and maybe more.

Where I'm not sure of is the transition to forums, because as we see only AlexT, Andrew, and maybe a few others post.

I don't wanna be the guy that points this out but did anyone notice how much trouble these "smart" people had identifying where to write their names on the screen? Cool
