Splash Page Link

I translate my splash page to spanish but I don't like when I click the Spain flag and the domain say

http://www.mydomain.com/splash.php?lang=es

if there another beautiful way to make say  like this so the URL look better or hide the word say splash.php

http://www.mydomain.com/?lang=es-spain

http://www.mydomain.com/?lang=es-spanish

http://www.mydomain.com/?lang=es-español

Open your .htaccess

FIND

RewriteEngine on

JUST BELOW IT ADD:

RewriteRule ^spanish/{0,1}$   splash.php?lang=es [QSA,L]

THEN

Replace the link attached to the spanish flag with:

http://www.mydomain.com/spanish

It should work, I have not tried it

If it does not work let me know and I'll give it a better look, ok?

I do not add the code you send me but I try my domain like this

mydomain.com/?lang=es and mydomain.com/?lang=en and is working fine like I want

do I realy need the code you provide me or the link is ok

Thank's for the code but one question

i'm using diferents language like you know now

but when they click spanish I want the site meta, title, description to be in spanish

so when they click english everything is going to be on that language the samething for spanish they will see the site tittle in spanish, keywords and description of the site

Do you need to know how to use different meta tags, and title etc.. on your splash page?

If yes, I should know how your splash has been coded
