Sound and Video Upload not working

To whom it may concern.

I purchased and installed the Dolphin 7.1.4 on my domain and all works well except the video and sound upload buttons.

I tried adding a php.ini file to the root but it caused some error to display on the frontend saying that my time-zone wasnt set.

I added a bunch of content, events and locations and the site is curently live. Can anybody please assist me in setting up the sound and video correctly.

When i did the installation the Cron job code i received wasnt exepted by the system so i left it out, also require some assistance with that.

Kind Regards

Video and sound will not process without that cron job. So it cannot be simply skipped.

As for the time zone problem. You need to specify a proper timezone in the php.ini file.

So specify how you created the cron job. What control panel did your hosting provide? Who is your hosting?

Don't add a php.ini file to the root of your site unless you need to just correct a certain aspect.  It would appear that your host has already set a timezone for PHP since you got the error message after adding your ini file.  If you want to adjust the time zone for your site, then you would just include the time zone setting in your php.ini file, otherwise, you could cause problems.  If the time zone and other settings are fine, then don't drop in a php.ini file.  It will not correct video and sounds unless file uploads were turned off in the main php.ini file on the server.

Dolphin can do a good job of guessing the cron job.  If it did not work, you should have sent a ticket to the hosting company for your site giving them the Dolphin cron job and asking them what needed to be corrected.  They know how your server is set up, we can only guess at cron jobs.

If you go to your admin and click on Host Tools, you can look for any warnings about your settings.  There is a php.info link in Host Tools as well.
