Sofilicious Install and Embed You Tube issue

Hi All

So im preparing to but the full license, I've also purchased some plug ins from Rayzz.  Problem is, when i try to embed a youtube video, i just get the sand clock going round.  this dolphin is 7.1.4, the latest and its installed as part of my hosting package with webnethosting.

ive made sure directories are writable and codecs in place.  Even had a bit of help from some really good boonex dolphin users, but to no avail.

if i can't embed, then i might as well try a different platform.  anybody any ideas.

cheers

If this is a new site, I'd recommend scrapping it and having Dolphin manually installed. Softaculous isn't known to be reliable, and from experience can produce corrupted files. I can install it for you, if you'd like.

I agree with Nathan, if this is a new site without any real content, then a manual install would be best.  There was someone having issues with photos not showing up.  It was a Softaculous install as well.  I redid the site for them from a manual install and the photo issue was no more.

Hi All

thanks for your offers, it makes a big difference to be able to talk to the community around the issues I'm having.  I've already tried a manual install but came unstuck when the script asked for location of imagemagick.  ultimately i think i will have to move hosts as they deny there are any issues with the embed upload.  i have also purchased however rays embed and it works fine, so maybe its just permissions.
