Site stopped letting people login or join

Hello,

Our site just stopped letting people join or login (including the admin account). People receive the following message.

Warning: mysql_query() [function.mysql-query]: Unable to save result set in /home/xxxx/xxxxxxx/inc/classes/BxDolDb.php on line 233

All the other pages seem to work fine

No changes were made to the site - it just stopped working for some reason.

The url is www.spankingcommunity.com.  It is running on 7.0.2

Thanks for the help

If you google Unable to save result set you will find that the most likley cause a damaged or corrupt table in the database. Or in other words a database problem.

If you have phpMyAdmin try running a repair on the profiles table.

The profiles table is just a guess, it could be any other table.

I would also try manually clearing the cache folder in case of corrupt cache data.

Just guessing on this one. Never seen this error before.

what are all the temporary files located.  I know about the cache folder under public, but I discovered that this is not all of them.

Thanks

The cache folder is the only one that holds caching of database info, but the other folders are cache_public and tmp

Thanks for the additional info.  Your original advice was very helpful and quite close to the actual fix.  It was the sys_messages table and the modzzz_point_history table that crashed and needed repairs.

In both cases, the repairs removed an entry from the table, but I am not sure what exactly they removed.  After the repairs, I was able to login as the admin and then cleared all just to be safe.
