Site speed

Hello

For some time my site www.areavis.com running slowly. Slow to load. I took a test on the opening page and it opens up less than 16 seconds! My hosting checked it and everything works fine there.

Running test of my site:

Domain name: www.areavis.com
Size: 207.37 KB
Load time: 15.18 seconds
Average Speed per KB: 0.07 seconds

Here what my hosting support server wrote to me:

Your server load is now at around 8-9. This is pretty high for the CPU you have on this server:
Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU E2200 @ 2.20GHz

However, I did browse around in WHM and did not notice any speed issues. Your problem appears to be caused by some kind of inefficient coding, which unfortunately we are unable to provide much assistance with.

Please Help,

Best Regards,

Lucas

Just a suggestion,

I see your active with video uploads and more than five at a time sometimes.

In your flash apps settings you might want to check to see if you still have "Use H264 codec" enabled.

If you do and someone uploads several videos, especially long ones, it will load the server down for a while processing the videos at that setting.

Just turning of "Use H264 codec" will increase video encoding alone.. and shortens the time your server is busy processing  them.

I think Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU E2200 @ 2.20GHz is a desktop CPU and even my old desktop has a better CPU in it. I don't think that CPU is capable of taking that much load on a VPS because you are not the only on that server. When i try to visit your site, it waits long for your server to respond with the data. Its taking so much time to compile and send your php data because its under quite load 8-9 is too much. You can install eAccelerator if you have enough ram on your VPS. But i think its time to upgrade.

so much to do....

Thanks, I always set as enabled, the video loads slowly but it is better quality.

Thanks, I install eAccelerator but it did not help too much. It's about the server upgrade? There is no other way out?

My hosting optimized server's MySQL, PHP and Apache configuration to better fit. Now it is much faster.
