I am finding that I need to refresh the screen almost every time I visit a page on my Dolphin test site. Is there a setting that I need to set that will ensure that the site refreshes automatically?

You did not explain what was happening. A explanation as to why you have to refresh. https://www.deanbassett.com |
Be sure to test this on several different browsers. Normal browser behaviour; if it has not been set otherwise, is to check for new content and if so, then load that content. When you go to the home page, for example, and new content has been added to the site, the blocks should show that new content. Cross browser checking will help to determine if it is a site issue or a specific browser issue. Geeks, making the world a better place |
This can be done but if you do that the members will get annoyed cause it will always refresh the page :).. I used this before when migrating files.. "Your future is created by what you do today, not tomorrow." @ www.dexpertz.net |
Thanks everyone for the tips. To explain what is doing on, I am developing my site on a separate platform and loading new mods and items like blogs, events, etc. When i return to the home page after adding a new blog for example the blog is not there unless I do a refresh. I have tried both enabling the cache setting and disabling them and still have the same problems that new content does not get displayed unless I refresh. |
as i understand it, you have to refresh to see new content on the page. The site needs to generate the new page with new content when you refresh it. Thanks everyone for the tips. so much to do.... |
As members are stating, you can put some code in the footer or header to make your site refresh say every five seconds. Fore warning on doing this on sites with Google Ads, this violates TOS, not sure about other ad companies. Refreshing the page automatically generates a new ad each time, big no no.
