I am sure this has been discussed before, but I only found topic on sideways movies.
The images are correct on the PC, however when uploaded they all rotate left and are sideways.
Does anybody have a rotate image tool out there?
Thanks!
Peer

Peer Wait, are you saying that when you upload an image from your computer (not talking about your members but you) that even if the orientation is correct on the PC that they ALL rotate left (counterclockwise)? I don't know if I mentioned images or not; however, we had that issue on a site where people would upload from their mobile devices and sometimes not understand that when they take a photo with the device rotated that the image would be rotated; of course the same thing would happen if someone uploaded a rotated image from their computer since you can turn a normal camera sideways as well. Describe exactly how you are uploading the images, be very specific. Geeks, making the world a better place |
Yes, Anton's Photo Editor module has a one click rotate. Andrew has a photo editor as well but not sure if he has a one click rotate; you may have to load the image into the editor for Andrew's module. However, you need to figure out what is causing the images to rotate. Uploading an image should not cause it to rotate. Geeks, making the world a better place |
Geek Gyrl- These images were emailed to me by a member who is helping me design our "elite concierge" service for members who are not as computer savy as other individuals or just would rather pay to have their account setup for them. When I downloaded the images she emailed me, they were correct on my PC. However, when I uploaded them to Dolphin, they were all shifted left 90 degrees. If Anton's photo "rotater" will solve the problem, I am happy to purchase. I have had good luck with his products. I look forward to your reply. Peer Peer L. Peer I put AntonLV's photo editor on a site for someone just for the purpose of people uploading sideways photos; so they could click on edit photo and then correct the orientation of the photo; works very well. Something other than Dolphin must be causing the rotation. Geeks, making the world a better place |
Feel free to try this. https://www.deanbassett.com |
The only time I have seen this happen is older Iphones use to turn images not video's during the upload process... Use to drive me crazy... Csampson |
Deano- As usual you have awesome solutions. However, Im guessing I need to purchase the package that allows for existing photos to be rotated. Peer Peer L. Plaut Executive Director, Single Booklovers Connecting Bookworms Since 1970 |
