I updated D7 from 7.0.4 to 7.0.6 version.

And now no longer send messages to e-mail from D7. Such as the "Invite a friend", the account activation notification, etc. "Invite a friend" finished with the message "Email send failed".

It appears there is some problem with your server config.

Check whether your server can send email with the mail() function.
