Save data in mods

After I upgraded, I guess I missed a few steps, all of my mods were still 1.0.0. after playing with it, I found that uninstalling them then re installing them they update and work great. but I have pics and blogs that I don't want to lose.  Is there a way to back up the data and uninstall the mod, then when i reinstall them, I can restore the data?
