SEO for Boonex needs a major improvement?????????

Hello

We currently have two Boonex Dolphin site: uploadyourdog.com with google ads and uploadyourb___.com (adult site with with adult ads and we hired two web developers to generate automatic Meta Descriptions, H1, H2 and alt tags for all the pages and images on the site.

(Boonex original template currently doesn't have any meta descriptions, H1, H2 and alt tags enabled)

We personally had to pay for a module that automatically generate meta keywords.) Other cms like wordpress, joomla, zen cart(ecommerce) already has meta descriptions enabled on the site without coding.

Uploadyourdog has been up for 4 months and the website is only generating 0.07 cents per day with google adsense, analytics even though we placed an ad on every page and have over 1700 members.

Our adult site has been up for over 1 year and the website is only generating 0.07 cents per day with adult ads even though we placed an ad on every page and have over 37,000 members with over 10,000.

We have uploaded over 100 youtube videos on youtube, over 900 youtube videos embedded, 1000 photos and videos but our revenue for both 14 cents a day.

We even placed thousands of craigslist ads directing to our site but we're still not getting enough. On many days, we're averaging 0 to 6 cents a day.

We spent thousands of dollars and it's been a major disappointment.

Google promotes dogs on youtube and google but our website is not even being recognized when we type in uploadyourdog. We're not blacklisted on any site but we're still not getting the exposure.

Does have an idea or experience dealing with this type of issue with SEO/traffic? Please advise. Thanks.

First of all, I agree that a lot can be done to the html output to improve the SEO, but also the parsing of pages on the server and in your browser. However, if you have over 37.000 members and you only make 7 cents a day... you have a completely different issue. I think when this is happening, you either don't understand your vistors, or are marketing to the wrong people.

Google Adsense is BS.  People don't click on adverts like they use to do in the early days of the net when that flashing advert caught their attention.  For one thing, the world's economies are in the toilet regardless of what the governments may say.  Click rates are way way down on all sites.

What I suggest is that you go out to your local pet shops and kennels and other pet related venues, dog show operators, etc, and sell advertising space on your pages.  Tell them you have thousands of members that will see their adverts.  Don't limit it to just pet shops, any local shop that might want an advert.  You can set several periods for the adverts to run, monthly, bimonthly, etc. and have different advert sizes to sell.  A full banner advert across the top would rent for a higher fee than a small advert to the side.

FaceSucks is not making money by adsense, they have an advertising department devoted to contacting businesses and corporations to sell advertising space on FaceSucks.

Geeks, making the world a better place

Hi Tech,

You have some SEO issues with the site uploadyourdog. Check here. www.freewebsubmission.com

Title: Title relevancy to page content is very poor.
The Title relevancy to page content is 17%.

Description: Description relevancy to page content is fair.
The Description relevancy to page content is 52%.

Keywords: Keyword relevancy to page content is very poor.
The keywords relevancy to page content is 33%.

Your SEO here maybe a reason. As far as the other site, you realize that, no matter what, your title is poison to be listed on the top search engines.

GG,

I think FS learned a long time ago that Google gives pennies for clicks. When they were large enough to hire staff to solicit businesses for advert dollars, it was a logical business move. A site with 10k active members should easily make 1k a month, but not with Google. That's only .10 a member (That's really low).  One suggestion would be to write blogs or articles that point to affiliated vendors on subjects that are associated with members interests.
