Restrict viewing access of news and articles to members?

I am trying to make more people register so want the 'access denied' message to appear when non member click on articles and news items as it does for videos?

Does anyone know how I can do this?

members settings in admin. Just remove 'view article' etc to non members.

You can set it so they can browse and see whats there, but not view, or not even browse to shut the whole section off.

Thats exactly the way I thought it would work but there is no 'view article' or 'view news' option for non member?  There is only 'videos view' which I have already done?

view article/news permissions are not in allowed/disallowed actions. Ticket for restrict view articles/news has been added for 7.1 already

you CANT do it now - you have to wait for D7.1 - hopefully this feature will be added in 7.1

oh right, thanks for clearing that up.  I'll have to wait.
