Replacing Nickname with Email

Wonder if someone can guide me with this issue please. I would like to do away with Nickname and use first name/last name on the entire site. How can I replace the sign-in screen from Username to Email address, then have the first name/last name show on the entire site?

Also how does this affect the URL?

Changing the logon to email is easy enough. Just a language key edit.

But you will find that changing the entire site to use real names instead of nick names has not yet been successfully done throughout the entire site by anyone. If you decide to attempt it, you will find it will not be easy to do. I don't believe it has been successfully done yet.
