Replacement For Dolphin Image Gallery/Slider

Does anyone know of any replacement for the standard gallery that comes on the modules? I figure it's all tied into the same script?

Reason I ask:

1) There is no way to have a high resolution photo, so people can click on the gallery, and have it popup.

2) In responsive themes, if the gallery is larger than let's say a screen for a cell phone, the photo is clipped and you can't see it.

I would hope there is something better? 

you can style it with CSS yourself. Now it's set to fixed width say 400px but make make it 100% of div width and it will size on tablet, phone. i have popup function and looks much better. I use it on outline also. single or grouped photos.Same i have for videos...

I hate the photo or video page. looks old and needs to be updated to the year 2014.

So find the css styles for that page or div element and change it.

Can I ask for some hints on where this might be? I am guessing in the templates/base/css?

If so, it appears it already is 100%... ?

are you using custom template or uni? (standard)
yes it resizes to the size of the width. so maybe screenshots of your issue will help.
