With filezilla you would just click on the install folder and delete it. With putty you would cd to the Dolphin directory and "rm -f -r install".

its also possible the windows machine is changing everything over to lower case and ubuntu is looking for upper case table names....

Also i notice the ip is being used instead of say localhost   i am not sure dolphin will run right when using a ip instead of a domain name or localhost/dolphin  as its location...

chances are you lang key tables did not get built right or are just empty all together.  make sure the langs folder has read and write permissions.  777 for some servers or 755  try to set them to 777 and see what happens.

you can also try and take a copy of the lang file from the install folder and place it in the root/langs folder and see if that works.

USING FTP CLIENT

Log into your FTP account using your favorite FTP client and navigate to the folder in which you uploaded the contents of the Dolphin-v.X.X.zip archive

and what i did was uploaded the dolphin 7.0.8 zip file to the directory i first used to store the temp files

and now i can see my community front page..im getting there slowly still using ubuntu server as centos 6.2 crashed on reboots

thankyou again all thats helping me get a feel of dolphin
