If someone is given a link to my site, say a specific blog, and they are not logged in, after they login or join they are directed to the my account page. I am looking for a way that after the user logs in they are redirected to the page they were trying to view. Does anyone know how to do this?
Thanks in advance,

check this out

mrpowless explains how to redirect members after joining, but it does the same thing after member login...

Thanks for the link but this works for a specific redirect - I'm looking for it to redirect to the current page the user is viewing and then logs in. Let say I send you a link to look at a group or blog on my site - but you have to be a member to view. If you are already a member and sign in, I want it to bring you to that specific group or blog that you were originally trying to view, not send you to the my account page. |
PITFIGHTER,
I would like to know the same thing. Did you find out how to make this happen?
Thanks,
Dave

Such redirection (to new message, new friend, greetings, etc...) is a must have. Hope that BoonEx will not forget such feature in Dolphin 7 :-) Life is a fatal disease, sexually transmissible - Virginity is carcinogenic! Ask here for vaccine. |
Hello PITFIGHTER,
I'm looking exactly for the same as you wrote here: http://www.boonex.com/unity/forums/topic/Redirect-to-page-after-login.htm
for e.g. when I'm sending out friendrequests, there's the ink to go directly to the Inviting member profile page. If i'm not loged in, I've 1st to do the login. The problem here is that you loose your inital path track after login because you're redicted by the system to your defined page like members.php or avatar.php etc...
where you lucky solving this? Anyone could solve this?
