Recurring Subscription payments module. PETITION!

Ok, this has been raised so many times, by myself and others here. 

To date, DOlphin has NO built in function for recurring subscription payments, despite being advertised as a dating site. 

This is just about the most basic element required for a dating site. Subscription payments.

Martinboi has a module - subscription management - that does do everything needed, but as many have posted in the past, he is non existent on supporting it, and has it licence locked to one URL, plus needs to be activated on purchase which seems to be an issue for a number of customers who have not had success in getting it activated (including myself)

Just today, I have gone on the forums and there are 2 posts from 2 new members, both asking how to setup recurring subscription payments... 

ANDREW BOON - this is a PETITION for you to include a module that allows admin to create recurring paypal subscription payments, including ability to select amount, frequency and membership levels.

UNITY MEMBERS - if you want this included, or see this as 100% basic function that should be in Dolphin many years ago, please add your name / comment below and LIKE this post. Lets see if we can keep this at the forum top until someone takes notice of it for once!!!

Modzzz, can you not build a module like M'bois? I hate recommending his to new customers as I've had lots of issues with it and no support from him despite buying it 3 times... (as have others)

Yet another newbie just posted today asking about recurring payments.

I have 'recommended' this module to so many people simply as it is currently the only option for recurring monthly membership payments. If you (or another dev) had an alternative I would be recommending that instead!

Deafult by Dolphin would be best for all, but as they seem to not be interested in this (for whatever unknown bizzar reason!) then we need another dev to make one up.

Don't mean to step on the petition but yes, we don't need a clone of Martinboi's module, we just need a hack or patch to the current Dolphin payment/membership system to handle subscriptions/recurring payments.  No need to reinvent the wheel here.

We will try to consider it for 7.1.5, but if it would require any structural changes we will have to move it some major version update, like 7.2.0

We are close to releasing such a module. (in final testing stages with a couple merchant gateways)

I am strugling with this payments - 'the best modul 'by martinboi doesnt work and no support at all!

Its sad that there is no proper payment modul !

First Off- PayPal wll not process payments for adult sites, and as such, dating sites can be caught in the cross fire and may have issues with paypal. I have recurring payments, but I use Authorize.net and it cost $130 to set up. I will post what I am using if anyone would like to sign up for an Authorize.net account. Others have asked about using other payment processors, but I do not have the time to figure out those other processors. What I am using works seamlessly for me and I hope it helps others out there. The zip file includes the membership module and the payment module. I have made changes in both to fit my purposes. If you use it, make a backup of your original modules, then delete from server and upload new versions.And since I have just made changes to the original modules, it can help the higher ups to provide a solution.

 ahem ahem there is also 7.1.5 :o  i thought in spring 2015 it will be 7.2 :/ i second the petition with credit card payment instead of paypal cause it don't work in my country :(

i see a few downloads for this - just wondering if anyone tried it and if there were any issues I can help resolve.

No, I haven't yet.  It is something for me to look at in the future because I have had members tell me they don't do anything through PayPal.

Add my name to the list also, this is a mod needed for every dolphin site I build. Also need more than just paypal since Paypal doesn't work everywhere and will not handle adult sites.

I also signig literally petition but Im very skeptic because I think - there will be never 7.2.0 update released. I think this update simply stay as it is and will be never released. So all will be moved to doplhin U platform -so you can maybe expect it after 3 years :-) But after 3 years and so so stable dolphin U release they will already be working on another version of dolphin and so on..

I'd be all for it, even though I'm sure that most of the people that want it, intend to use it on one of those 800,000 Dolphin based adult sites that will never amount to anything.  However, I see uses for more noble purposes as well, and it is for those endeavors that I support such a feature.

lol- 'petition' started over a year ago! Somehow I don't think it made a difference!

However, the mod that allows this - Martinboi's subscription management has had the license lock removed after the hassle that caused. At least that can be used now by those who bought it!

Cant see this happening as a default D feature until DU is released now though...

Actually recurring billing was already implemented in Dolphin 7.2 as part of the following ticket - http://www.boonex.com/trac/dolphin/ticket/3392
