Ray Base Setting is empty on a Dedicated Server.

Hi,

I have a dedicated server and I have successfully installed Dolphin 7. However when I navigated to Admin Dashboard => Modules => Flash, and go to the Settings, I noticed that there are no entries in the use RMS. What procedures must I take in order to get this settings up and running?

Please advise.

Regards,
Razz

You need to install and configure the media server and once running, you can add the connection information to your Flash apps settings.

Hi,

I am unable to connect to my RMS. As a checklist, I have done the following

* Download and installed RMS Linux for 7.03 - since my platform is D7.03

* Installed RMS using root and and verified that it is located in /opt/ray_server/RMS_7.0/.

* Verified that JRE path exist at JAVA_HOME=/usr/java/jre1.6.0_23 in red5.sh

I have restarted the RMS.

I have verfied that my domain name is in the access.dat

Please if anyone can advise what else could potentially be a reason why I am unable to connect to the RMS from the Admin Dashboard.

Use RMS: Ticked

RMS Address: mydomainname (tried using iP as well - but didnt work)

RMS Port: 1935

RMS Http Port: 5080

Banner Image: no entry

Banner Target link: no entry

Banner Target Windw: _blank

Banner Transparency: 75

Widget Preloader : FFFFFF

Send Flash App backwards: Unchecked

Appreciate if anyone can shed light on this matter.

Many thanks,

Razz

Make sure rms is enabled in flash apps base settings, and that the ports are open not blocked on your server or setup.

I am able to telnet to my RMS ports and Use RMS is ticked but still I am not able to connect to RMS.

Run a test instance (with red5.sh instead of run_daemon.sh) and post the results from the output given by the media server.
