The fact that the developer has not updated the compatibility might mean they have not been all that active because the market changes were in constant conversation during that time Geeks, making the world a better place |
yep, I noticed. One reason I contacted the dev but no reply as yet.
Anyone reading, if you have an alternative 'quiz' mod that can be used as this one does, questions - answers - then show % correct at the end - please let me know which mod! There are a few in market but not sure they work the same as this. |

RE: Anyone have this?
That mod was posted three years ago, and is not up to date. I have always thought is would be a good idea to show the developers "Last Online" date on all of their product pages, or even have a history of their login dates. Anything that would show signs of life from the developer would be good clues to potential customers. Who wants to buy a product from a vendor that hasn't visited boonex.com in a year? My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees. |
There are products in the market where the developer has not bothered to go in and update things according to the new market guidelines; such as listing what version your product supports, even though they are somewhat active. That one I have trouble understanding as it would seem to hurt sales. Geeks, making the world a better place |
Im hesitant to invest in this module as I would need to do some custom work on it anyway. With no online demo, no updates and no sign of response from the dev makes it a risk, especially considering it is a 'premium priced' module... Maybe there should be a system where old mods that are not supported or updated should fall into a 'discount' bracket. This would lower the cost/risk for buyers who may or may not be able to use the mod the way they need, plus encourage developers to keep up to date with mod updates and support in order to regain 'normal' mod listing on market.
Just a suggestion...
Have found out that this module will install on 7.1.4, but you would need to change config to 7.x.x In my experience, when modules are still completely pre 7.1, they tend to have a few CSS issues also that need updating. Should be a discount in place for out of date mods. |

I've noticed one CSS issue (so far). The icon displayed in site stats is slightly out of alignment with the rest. Hopefully, that will be the only issue. Why can't there be an understanding (in writing, if need be) between Boonex and developers that would allow a mod that has been abandoned by one developer for a set length of time to be "adopted" by another dev who is interested in maintaining it? It's not like that module could be used on any other CMS platform, so why shouldn't others be able to vie to be the new owner of that mod (and reap the financial benefits)? 7.3.5 with responsive UNI |
It looks like demo was moved here: http://webmedspace.com/community/modules/?r=quizes/ But think twice before purchasing the module if author isn't responding. http://www.boonex.com/m/the-ultimate-quiz-study-mod-v-1-0-is-finally-h

AlexT, modules that are not compatible with the latest version of Dolphin should be moved to an Archives section so that they are not in the mix of things and persons will not buy then realize they are not compatible (as some people will do). Also, you need to remove all those old non-compatible modules from the Featured Modules listing. Why is a module featured when it cannot even work on the latest version of your product ? HERE, HERE I haven't been here for a while (service to ones country, you know!!!) but just checked in, the whole boonex thing has steped one foward and seven backwards I commend any developer that can see this transition out. I am now fully convinced Andrew must be working for the government or even worse the military. As I said to my right hand man my Sergent Major (Sergeant of the Army) last week surely someone has to be paying you more money to sabotage us. Either way I (we) have packed my (our) Barrett M82(s) and my boys and myself are on our way home, if its not broke do not fix it, |
Please could you point out this/these module(s) ? Also, you need to remove all those old non-compatible modules from the Featured Modules listing. Why is a module featured when it cannot even work on the latest version of your product ?
