Questions about the table sys_privacy_groups.

Hi !!!

In table sys_privacy_groups,

ID4 = members

ID5 = Friends

ID6 = Favorites

ID7 = Contacts

But I have two questions:

- What are the groups of IDs 1, 2, 3 and 8?

- Who participates in the group of "contacts" (ID7)? There is already "friends", "members" and "favorites" groups. What are 'contacts' in this case?

Thank you!!!

When ask this question I usually use the workplace analogy.  At work, everyone is a coworker, and thus could be seen as a contact.  Some of your coworkers may be friends.  So you could divide your coworkers into contacts and friends with friends also being in the contact group.  Your members can use it however they wish since they control who are in the privacy groups.  On a social site, this could allow a member to share certain content with all their contacts including friends and then have content they only wish to share with friends.

But as a member can transform someone from your friends list on a 'contact'? How to add people to this group?

In interactions with another profile, there is a fave action and be friend action, but I see no option to add the contact group. There is that possibility?

What are the groups of IDs 1, 2, 3 and 8? Anybody know?

Ok, I think I've discovered.

ID1 = default group.

ID2 = only me.

ID3 = Public.

The ID8 empty I do not know, but I think it is not the most important here.

You are correct.  I just went to my site, went to account, privacy groups, and all that shows is the privacy groups I created.  As far as I know, there is no way to add anyone to the contacts group. ???  When you add someone as a friend, they automatically get added to your friends group.  How do you add someone as a contact but not a friend?  Or how would I add a friend to my contacts group?

Possible bug here?
