Question For AlexT

Can you please tell me if there is going to be any further development on the store? Will members be allowed to use it as well soon? Been waiting for this, and thought you all were going to add paypal buttons for members this time around. This is 1 thing my members are waiting for to sell their goods and I can not give them a answer anymore, because this feature seems to get pushed back every release.Cry

@ LightWolf - In September I contacted Andrew Boon about a problem with the store in that members could not sell to the public:

http://www.boonex.com/unity/forums/topic/Can-t-Sell-To-Public-Serious-Design-Flaw.htm

He replied saying this would be addressed in 7.1, when they planned to work more closely on the store.  This delay in fixing the issue has been a problem for my members and myself, since selling to the public is meant to be a feature on my site.

Perhaps I have misunderstood your issue, but I do believe that as the store is set up now members can sell products, though that ability is rather limited in the present store.  Members can set up Paypal and 2Checkout accounts in their Account/Payment/Settings, and should be able to add a product to the store as long as the "store add product" action is enabled for their membership level.

Any more than that it appears we will have to wait for 7.1.

Hope this helps.

I can find where they can upload a product. But as far as finding where they can control their payment options, I am lost, and can not find that. Now the option has been enabled to their accounts also. Do I have to set up the payments module in admin also with my paypal info to get theirs to work and show up? My site is a free site and I have searched all over and can not find the Account/Payment/Settings in their account.Frown

I am not sure if you have to include your Paypal info in the Payments module settings.  I think that is intended for admins to use for membership payments.  Having a free site simply means there is no charge for membership.  However that module would have to be installed for any member payments on your site, like for the store.

When I log into my site with a test member account (not admin), under the Dashboard icon I click on Payments.  At the right end of the menu title "Processed Orders" there are three subcategories, Processed, Pending, and Settings.  Click on Settings.  That is where a member can enter their Paypal or 2Checkout info.  If that isn't there on your site, then it is perhaps a problem with the module installation.

Okay I only have activity and membership on that dashboard icon.Frown This is a test account also, not a admin account. I registered this account with a facebook account. Different from Admin account.

UPDATE:

Okay I found the issue. I did not have the Payment link added to Members menu because It's a free site and never worked with store up tell now. Thanks so much for helping me out.Cool
