Public Group

As an admin I entered a couple of groups. Logged off and logged-in as another member, the Group is not visible to me as a member, despite the fact that I made that group visible to Members?

I even have a block for Public Group on the home page and it does not show there. I wish all members to be able to see all the groups that are active. I do not want the groups to be public though.

Any suggestions please.

I'd check the allowable actions in Settings>Membership Level first.

Ok , I know what you mean. Yes, i have set it for viewing. I can understand if you cannot join or comment on the group, but to just view the groups?

Still does not show

The Groups block on the homepage and also the blocks on the Groups main page will only show Groups with a view type of public. They will not show groups with a view type of members. If you browse by recent, top rated etc though, you will see them.

Ummmm. Interesting.

Yet, at the home page - page  builder you do not get the option of a block that say, 'Recent Groups" or "Top Rated" Group. So you are forced to make the Group Public and then place it on home page with the Public Groups Block.

Unless I am missing something.
