Profile automatic activation

Hello,

I have a problem, when someone joins my site I have to approve and activate them manually. I have it set to approve and activate automatically but I still have to do it manually anyone know why?

Thank you!

While not an answer to your question; I caution about allowing new sign-ups to automatically be approved and active; I recently helped with a site that was getting around 5000 new spam accounts daily.  You will need to make sure that all the bits and pieces to block bots are in place.  And that still won't prevent the spam houses from having live humans making accounts.

Need more info. Do you have email verification on or off?

Go to admin, adbanced, moderation, which ones do you have checked?

See below, this is what I have, they are all checked.

Auto-Activate Profiles After Joining:

Preserve Profile Status After Profile Info Editing:

Auto-Confirm Profile Without Confirmation Email:

Enable Notification About New Members:

Enable Albums Auto-Approval:

Try this procedure.

Uncheck them all.

Save

Re-check them all.

Save

Clear cache.

Clear cache again.

See if that fixes problem.

Is it just me, or is there a bigger issue going on. Looking at the screenshot, why are those settings listed under Privacy Groups when they should be listed under Moderation

I did not notice that. Your right, they don't belong there. But that would just indicate they are in the wrong category. It should not effect how they work tho. With a simple change of category i can put all of the options under one heading. It does not change how they work tho.
