Profile Page is slow in uploading

Hello everybody,

On the profile page

  1. the google map
  2. forum posts and
  3. some rss

are very slow in loading.

I dont know what the issue is, or how to fast up.
So i cleaned the cache but that issue stays.
Also i tried to let the profile work with 1 of this modules or more disabled, but the uploading of the page is very very slow.
Maybe you can give me some advice, the home page is loading very quickly.
Here is the profile page that is slow:

You have way too many resources to load on that page including external ones.

140+ requests
14 MB page size

your external resources hang the page rendering too.

so much to do....

Your RSS blocks are taking way to long to load.

Check with your host to make sure your server is resolving DNS properly and quickly.

Other issue could be one of the feeds urls is slow to respond. In which case, you don't use that feed. Unfortunatly you cannot fix the response times of other peoples servers, so don't use slow feeds.

Thanks a lot.

Yes it it true, so many url to load than searching api map key than loading rss than google adsense ...

But there must be a way to speed up, the home page has the same even more to load and there it loads in a second.

Host is HFW.

Greetings.

What i see different is the profile sounds block.

To resolve you must take the elimination approach. Find the cause. Take each block out of the page one at a time until you find the one causing the problem.

Issue must be isolated first before working on a cure.

And it not the quantity that causes the major problems. It the exact content and location it's being pulled from. Hit a slow location on the net, and everything will drop to a crawl.

One of the reasons i stopped using things like fb like buttons and other buttons loading from the net. If there is a slowdown on their side, it slows down my page.

Yes true i had that too with the add this slider, you know all that flash app. you put before the /body of the index.php, man that slows up your site of gives conflicts with other plugins and than you have to see wich plugin you have to eliminate yes most of the time , it is searching what the XXXX is stealing my time this time :)

Lessons that I have learned:

RSS feeds are wonderfull, but you are dependent on the good working of the feed readers.

One day the owner want to build a new website, the RSS feeds will go there too, so your link does not work and he does not gonna prevent you to change the feed !

Google maps as module needs time to load, this can slow up your site.

Search to use modules who don't give you the same results, f.i. don't use modules profile photos and photo albums together.

New layout of the page: I want Google Maps but it slows up a little bit :)

I have complaints from members on the load speed of the profile page.  Of course a lot of the problem is from the stuff that members add to their profile pages.  I am wondering if the module in the market that separates the profile into tabs or sections might help with the page speed; I am not sure how it works but my thinking is that if I can only load part of the page at a time, it would help with the page load speed time.

Not 1 social network works with all that media in a profile page, normally like photos, videos audios pdf files, etc..... there must be a way to have the profile who you are as person and town and the portal of what you do your media etc... your rss that you visit etc......

Members love adding all kinds of crap to a page, believe me, all kinds of crap.  cute glittery photos of kittens, youtube videos, music players, etc.  All that crap has to be downloaded from your server.  Which is one reason you need a hefty server if you are going to host a dolphin site that supports all that junk.

It is a trade-off, restrict the users too much and they will vote with their feet.  I have the Profile Composer module for the higher membership levels only, so they help to pay for the extra sever bandwidth, CPUs, and memory and get to add stuff to their pages.

My profiles only have profile videos and profile photos. The profiles don't load all the way. It seems like the thumbnails don't want to load. Any ideas?
