Profile Edit Page only Two Columns

Is there a way to get the Profile Edit Page to be Three Columns instead of Two Columns?

Thanks!

Yes, the profile edit page is available in the builders, go to your admin, go to builders, pages builders, and in the drop-down list choose profile edit.  You can easily add a column there and move the blocks around to suit the layout you wish.

When using the builders, it is applied as you work.  You can open a browser page to your page builder and a browser page to the profile edit.  Add the column and size and position blocks.  Go to the profile edit page and refresh and you will see the changes have been applied.  Good way to get feedback on how your changes are appearing on the page you are working on.

Geek girl- you rock. I though I did this, and it wasn't working. Let me try again as now I know it can be done!

Thanks a bunch!

If it does not work, then post back and we will see if we can figure out why.

So, I was able to add a column to my Edit profile screen..

If you see the attached, I have the view and edit pages setup the way I want.

However, simply adding a column to the edit page will not allow me to mimic the look as shown in the images.

OK, you are wanting to break the PROFILE EDIT FORM into different columns

The profile edit form is contained in one block.  You can see this from the profile edit page, in page builders.  To break the profile edit block into columns would mean that you would need to rewrite the block and break out the parts into a separate edit form, each in its own block.

Yea, putting the profile form into more than one column is not possible.

It will require a lot of custom coding work, and the form builder is also not designed for it either.

Sigh... so this means that when a user moves around, the screen is different for different functions... and if you have a lot of profile information, the member must scroll down and down and down... is there a better way to handle this?

Scriptologist has a module in the market that takes the sections of the profile edit form and creates "tabs" that one can click on to see the different sections.  I have not used it and it is not a recommendation, just pointing out that it might be a solution.  Ask questions if you are unsure.

He has one for profile view as well.  I think the profile edit one is only $8.00 but be sure it will work on your version of Dolphin.

I have seen these tab options. When I was using Joomla, I had tabs. Let me get with him and see.

Thanks again Geek Girl.
