Problem with installing Media Server

I just finished installing RMS. When I test out the connection using the tool on boonex, on the boonex tool it errors out with:

NetConnection.Connect.Failed
NetConnection.Connect.Closed

On the RMS side I see the error:

[WARN] [Red5_Scheduler_Worker-3] org.red5.server.net.rtmp.RTMPConnection - Closing RTMPMinaConnection from 192.168.1.1 : 40359 to 95.119.165.81 (in: 3382 out 3177 ), with id 20630610 due to long handshake

(For security purposes, in the warning above, I changed my IP address before posting on this forum)

any ideas?

Did you setup the access.dat file to allow the url?

Yes. I did that first thing.

Not sure if this will help but since I just completed this task I thought I would mention a couple of things related to my install on CentOS

Did you try typing in the ip/domain and then the port you are using for example :  173.111.112.34:5080   or   flash.com:5080

This will tell you whether the RMS is installed AND running on your own server,

If the above mentioned works, you may want to ensure your RMS is installed in the root directory if you are using Linux

I recently set up RMS on a Unix box and I had saved my RMS the same as the boonex install doc suggested  /home/myaccount//opt/ray_server

However my RMS did not start working with boonex properly until I moved my RMS to root /home/myaccount/ray_server

Then I updated rundaemon.sh with the new address : /home/myaccount/ray_server;

The only other thing I could think of is if you have some kind of firewall running blocking the ports, sometimes the tool doesn't work the best =)

when you start the daemon what are you seeing in there? ./run_daemon.sh

those flipping tools are sometimes not the best approach. jay and i actually installed the test module for RMS because none of the test links boonex provided ever worked for us.

other thing you need to make sure of is that you have enough RAM to run RMS, it does require minimum 1GB RAM. it doesnt really use it, but wont install when correctly when you have less RAM.

send your credentials to me pc, and i will take a look at your installation.
