of course it always seems there is some preference difference on the characteristics of what customized join forms or registration or profile fields should contain. in this instance specifically, would it not suffice to utilize a check box solution for these multiple options rather than a dropdown? without the ability to use multi-select on the dropdown, you are basically constrained to the mentioned option, or having the source rewritten for your IF THEN ELSE ELSEIF solution. Hi DosDawg Thanks for the reply - this is actually for a client who want an 'all' option so a user on their site can search for someone who has ticked all fruits on their profile details, or an 'any' option that searches for people who have ticked any of the fruit (fruit being an example of course)! I just wondered if anyone had any cunning way around this without rewriting all the source code! I'll have to convince them to reconsider the way the forms are used :) |
