Pre Roll on embeded videos

Has anyone figured out a way to place pre-roll ads in front of embeded videos from Youtube etc...??

People are lazy and rather embed than wait to upload directly, hence we would prefer not to turn

off embed? Thoughts?

The video is stored on YouTube and they control it, they control the vertical, they control the horizontal (sorry, a bit of humour)

So you can not do anything there.  If you want adverts, add a block above the video or below it or something.  Keep in mind of course that Google Adsense will not allow this, they ban adsense on any content that is not original content; meaning the videos have to be original videos created by your members.  Mmm, not sure how member original content stored on YouTube plays out here but Google is an AHol... and they ban any time they wish without listening.

So how did they get the video on YouTube without uploading it?

@cpati - If I am reading your question correctly, you WANT to place ads in front of videos that are embedded from YouTube?

If that is correct, I know Rayz has a video ads module that works with videos uploaded from a computer http://www.boonex.com/m/video-ads but not sure if he can make it work with embed options. You might want to reach out to him and ask though.
