Popular videos and categories block?

Hi everyone,

I'm wanting to put the "popular videos" and "categories" block on the Video Home page.  However, I haven't found any documentation on how to pull this off.  Can someone point me in the right direction?

Go into your Admin Panel> Builders> Page Blocks and choose Homepage from the drop down menu. Then drag the blocks you want, such as Public Videos and Categories from the inactive items to your desired location in Active items.

Hi Zarcon,

Those items aren't available for the Video Home page.  The "popular" block that I'm referring to is:  _bx_videos_top_menu_popular

I can put a "Public Videos" block on the Video Home, but it only gives me "latest" and "top" for the options.  As you know, "popular" is based upon the number of views, whereas "top" is based upon rating.  So, the functionality is similar, but different than what I'm looking for.

I used the Block Tools module to copy the "Categories" block from the Homepage to the Video Home, but it doesn't work.  So, there's probably an extra parameter that I'll need to look for.

Ok so what you need is in the Admin Panel> Builders> Navigation Menu

Find the block that says VideosPopular and drag it under the Video block. Also, each module has it "own" categories block. You cant just copy "any" categories block.

I've already got the "VideosPopular" menu item there.  However, I want the "Popular Videos" block to show on the Videos Home Page without having to select "Popular" from the sub-menu.  Does that make sense?

In regards to the Categories block, I copied the VideosCategories block, but I didn't work.  I really didn't expect it to.  Unfortunately, I just haven't had time to delve into how the Videos modules calls the block and all of that fun stuff.  I'll figure it all out eventually.

Sorry, I get what you are saying now. I dont think you can do that with some modifications to the videos/classes php files and probably an SQL script as well. If you are set on having this on your site, you can always post a entry in the 'Jobs' section to see if a developer will assist you.

Thanks for the assistance.  Since the blocks are already on the site, it's just a matter of figuring out what code to manipulate.  I was just hoping that someone in the forums had already attempted something similar.
