I am at a loss and really getting frustrated. This has been an on going problem that I have spent hours trying to figure out and all the forum fixes have not worked!
As you can see by the pics I supplied.....on the home page I have the site stats that say I have 2 photos. When you click on that it goes to a page but shows no photos. If you click on the profile it shows photos but when click on the photos the are no where to be found. In the database they are there and on the admin they are there. All settings have been check and double checked to make sure you can view them. They even show up on the "outline" but not when you go to the person's profile. I have created albums and they never show up but they are on the database. So I do not know what to do.

It's a great day! |
I would like to point out this is not a problem that I had in 7.0.9. It is new!!!! It's a great day! |
Checked the permissions on the install file and all are green! There are photos in the the correct folders in the directory. I had no problems with this in 7.0.9. I upgraded and now there are issues. I cannot unload my site until this is corrected.

I this point I am getting ready to ask for a refund. $500.00 and all these problems is not acceptable! Then you don't have access to help! This is very frustrating!!! It's a great day! |
I have no real answers; however, at least I can let you know someone does care although I am not a member of Boonex.
Have you tried creating a regular user and testing with that account?
Do you have photos set to auto-approve or do they have to be approved?

Yes...here is all that I can come up with. I did not do the update TMD (the hosting company) did. I have had a few problems with them not exactly getting things right, but I have also had things work one second and then not work in Dolphin. I did both auto accept and approval. The video is not working either. All worked in 7.0.9. Who knows what else is not working. Things just are not showing up so I don't know if the communication between the database and site is not working properly or what. all I know is it is not working!
Thanks geekgirl...This is the second time you have helped. I do believe that those that invest in Dolphin to the extend some do need to have more than a forum to post without answer.

AND STILL NO ANSWER FROM BOONEX It's a great day! |
Try to check photos album settings, what is the name of "Default Profile Album Name", have you changed it recently ?
ALso can you reproduce the problem on demo.boonex.com ?
If you have no content on the site yes, I would recommend to do clean install of Dolphin 7.1.1, instead of upgrading from 7.0.9.

Sorry if I have not been back. I have been busy with my site and the Pagan rituals of welcoming spring; you know, coloured eggs and chocolate bunnies.
The more I hear about TMD, the more reluctant I am to use them.
Doing a clean install and then migrating data over is just as likely to cause problems as upgrading.
I would suggest putting the 7.0.9 site back, and have TMD go through the process again; evidently something did not go as it should. The upgrade process has to be followed precisely.

WELL....I am going to attempt a clean install and see where that gets me. Just frustrating because of course TMD wants to point the finger, HOWEVER, no one else seems to have the problem. If you were to see the thread for the ticket you would laugh. I clearly state the problem with pictures and they upload a photo and video and call it fixed. That was not the problem...I can upload all day. So I have no idea if it is a problem with the DB or the install. What I can say is there are some things that were not changed that the instructions clearly stated to change. I think if someone is going to endorse a hosting site that they make sure that that site knows how to handle the product. Can you imagine if I were live? I will keep you posted. It's a great day! |
Just wanted to update. I did in fact have to do a clean install of Dolphin 7.1.1. I can only surmise that the upgrading was done incorrectly, because the clean install went very well without problem. It's a great day! |
