Does anybody know how can we do it, I know that dolphin have privacy settings to "me only" but that's not what I'm talking about, also and for photo albums and video albums would be nice to have that option...

Expand on what you are expecting. Present the scenario. Geeks, making the world a better place |
Here is scenario, member upload photo or video, anybody who wants to see photo or video must ask the owner for a password to be able to see photo or video, doesn't matter if someone is friend or in faves list or contact list of the member who uploaded photo, so when you upload the photo or video in the privacy setting should be the: me only, public, members, friends, faves, contacts and password protected photo I hope that is now clear what I think...and is it possible? |
Almost anything is possible with a little bit of work. This is going to require some changes to the privacy scripts as well as a place for the owner of the content to store the password and some place for the owner to set the password. When someone goes to view the content, it is going to have to present them with a dialogue box and ask them to enter the password. It will then need to check the password entered against the one stored in the database. I have not seen such a module in the market. I would post a job for this one. By the way, Dolphin works a bit differently that some other scripts. It would be a password protected album. In Dolphin, privacy is set on the Album, not the individual files. Once you set the privacy on the album to "Password Protected", then any photo added to a photo album automatically gains that privacy setting. Geeks, making the world a better place |

Thats it, "password protected album" is the best solution, It's exactly what I thought.... |
Not an easy do; as I said, you could post a job on this and see if a developer is interested. Be sure to spell out how you want the mod to work. Geeks, making the world a better place |
