I am currently redoing my website and we installed dolphin 7.1.4 and im transfering parts of the website a little at a time to the new dolphin it was the same 7.1.4 . the problem im having is when i go into page builders i can see all the blocks there from the old website but there are only a few that show up on the new dolphin that are visible what is causing this to where you cant see all the other blocks we have on the pages. |
You aren't really giving enough info for anyone to be of help. What i am wondering is if this is not an upgrade why didn't you just do a clean install? |
Ok We Had unicorn template installed on our website with the special design boxes i wanted to allow other members to use other templates that we have also .but none of the boxes show up on any other templates other than unicorn we have removed the unicorn template from the directory but the boxes still dont show up. |
This Is the homepage with uni which only a couple boxes show up .and the other one is with unicorn template.one shows the other boxes and one dont. |
When you installed the Unicorn template, did you have to edit any template/base core files or any core files for that matter? If so, you will have to choose one or the other. Nothing to see here |
The question i need to ask.
Are these images taken from the exact same website?, or is one from the old website and one from the new website.
They do not appear to be the same website, but i cannot tell because your image does not show the url in the browser.
Many boxes in dolphin do not show up unless there is content. So if you have not transfered the content over such as the events and forum posts, then they will not appear. You need more than just the page blocks.

Good catch Deano. Missed the part where the migration was 'a little at a time'. Nothing to see here |
I would recommend hiring someone to do the migration for you. Are you migrating from one server/host to another? I saw the thing about tech diffs with the hosting company. If you need to migrate the website and have it identical after transfer; just not using the third party template, then you would not need to do it a piece at a time. Migrate the website, and work on the template removal if it had special templates.
As I said, I recommend you hire someone to do this migration. There are migration services in the Market or you can post a job. You have to also know how to migrate the database since that is a critical part of having the migration go well.
