I dont understand whats heppening and where is true. I like boonex and belive in Dolphin like in one of the powerful engine in time we live. But there is some confusions with services. About one of them I want to tell you now.

With premium license there is free instalation of dolphin. This is realy cool ! But...

In fact any upgrade is installation becouse to get upgrade you have to install it yes ?

But my Agent have different opinion for this quastion )

Yes, Prime includes free installation service, but it cannot be used to upgrade the script. Upgrade requires more work and time to save all users, changes and custom mods you already have. Useally it costs from $150 and higher. The final price depends on the site.

Well I think its not right. And I tell you why ! All you know one of the famous engine Wordpress ! And when new version is redy I press one buttn - Update to 3.03 automaticly and pabam ! Its redy. But Word press updates not relised every two monce ) like Dolphin ... And dolphin is not automaticly apdated.

Well I kant tell that Im apsolutly zirow in web development, I know html php flash action script BUT I cant update my dolphin ! Every time it crashed or something nt working or some data lost ! Every time I restory from backup my 7.02 and waiting for 7.04 with normal easy update. And 7.04 relised But ! I confused ! To uprade to 7.04 I need to first to uprade to 7.03 and then to 7.04 THIS IS DUBLE RISK ))

I think that Payment for uprade money - is speculation and discomfort !

Boonex pls make something like one buttn upgrade or make something like TEN DOLARS UPGRADE that can take anybody BUT NOT 150 $$$$

Agents is face of company and this speculation is not good for status of your company !

Summing all I tell that Im redy to pay for ubrades like many others people but it have to be not mor than 10 $ And be official service from boonex not from users, because upread mean that you have working site with many informations and mods, and every giving third compny your site manipulation is big risc.

Because new versions its good ! All waiting for them ! Аnd isolation of users with high price and hard manual to install is not good . You have to understand it !

The reason is very simple. It is much more error free when installing Dolphin for the first time on a clean site and clean database.

Some people have integrated 3rd party modules into their Dolphin installs, which can make upgrading much more difficult and extremely time consuming. If you have never changed anything from the default install of Dolphin, then you can also upgrade with very little effort.

Oh and please do not compare Dolphin with WordPress.. They are absolutely nothing alike.

one thing would be upgrading Dolphin, as it was released, and into a new version, so one would have either the option to do it  itself or to contract some help, and  for that I believe it is normal one would expect  to pay a fee. After all, no one works for nothing (if we exclude the priceless help of a lot of people from this comunity in the forums' area).

Of course we can always discuss what an "adequate fee for the work" would mean, but; after all, time is money, and, in the end, maybe this is not as simple to answer as one would think...

However, the wonderful thing about Dolphin is that it can be "molded" into ones' needs. Look at it as a Christmas tree, and imagine that we would all get that costumized plastic tree (no ofense here, plastic but perfect and environmental frendly and lasts a lifetime....). Now, we all get the same tree, but some of us like red, some like blue, some like red and silver decorations, and so on, so in the end, all of us will end up with a unique tree which we've added our value and personal touch to. And then it comes the tricky part, updating....Again, if one decides to buy a bigger tree next Christmas, I would expect  them to also buy more decoration or at least try to adequate the old one to the new tree....

In the end, when a site is heavily moded or costumized, I believe it is not the upgrade cost itself that one would be asked to pay, but the amount of time the Agents or whoever one chooses to do the work for you, will be spending making sure that all the "decoration fits the new tree".

Sory for the long post, and the tree analogy, but there are two things I value a lot: time is money and it can be priceless, and AntonLv is a GOOD DAMN AGENT, that gives all support and more, always there, available, patient...
