PLEASE HELP! I CAN NOT INSTALL MODULES!

I keep getting this messege when trying to install modules. What is the problem?

Cannot install module from "aramis/clocks/" directory Failed
 
 
Cannot install module from "EmmetBytes/emmetbytes_profile_cover/" directory Failed
 
 

Cannot install module from "aramis/snow/" directory Failed

I see 3 modules you have listed. All 3 of them are third party modules.

The "directory failed" message usually means the modules were not uploaded to the proper folder.

For example. the clocks module from aramis should be in modules/aramis/

If it was uploaded to modules/boonex then that would cause the error your seeing.

So please describe how you uploaded the modules with as much detail as possible as this appears to be a problem pertaining to where they were uploaded.

Yes, you should be able to simply move them into the right directory.

You can use a FTP client or your hosting control panel's file manager. As Deano explained, move the Clocks module to /modules/aramis - so it should be /modules/aramis/clocks once you've finished moving it.

 

If you're not sure or comfortable doing this, I can do it for you. I'll need FTP or control panel access to move the files.
